PROJECT AREA MAP
The Planning Area encompasses 432 acres (roughly 1.2 miles by 0.5 miles) — 244 acres in Santa Clara, and 188 acres in San Jose. The area is bounded by the Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport to the north, Interstate 880 to the east, De La Cruz Boulevard to the west, and Santa Clara University to the south. The Union Pacific Railroad and former Newhall Rail Yard run through the center of the Planning Area. At the heart of this area is the Santa Clara Transit Center.
