Santa Clara Station Area Open House

Community members had the opportunity to view and discuss the Station Area Plan with staff and consultants from the cities of Santa Clara and San Jose, and VTA. Graphic presentation of the plan as well as copies of the Plan were available. The workshop was held on July 21, 2008, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Santa Clara City Hall Council Chambers.

Santa Clara Station Area Preferred Plan Workshop

The Preferred Plan Workshop and Open House were held on Monday, June 11th at the Santa Clara Senior Center.

Staff from VTA and the cities of Santa Clara and San Jose joined the community in an interactive dialogue on the Preferred Plan. Concepts for land use, circulation, urban design, and connectivity were presented and discussed. The feedback from this workshop will serve as a guide for the final planning phase for the Santa Clara Station Area Plan. Click here for the workshop presentation.

Santa Clara Station Area Plan Alternatives Workshop

On Thursday, March 29 at San Jose City Hall, community members joined staff from VTA and the cities of Santa Clara and San José for the Santa Clara Station Area Plan Alternatives Workshop. The second in a series of community workshops for the Station Area Plan, this event focused on Guiding Principles for the Plan and Alternatives for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). (Subsequent workshops will examine a preferred plan describing land use and connectivity; as well as the overall Station Area Plan.)

Workshop participants were involved in hands-on activities to review and comment on concepts and principles presented at the workshop. This input was used by the planning team to further refine the concepts and design of the Station Area Plan, and is available under Community Participation.

Santa Clara Station Area Plan Visioning Workshop

The Visioning Workshop was the first in a series of community workshops for the Santa Clara Station Area Plan (SAP). This workshop provided an overview of existing conditions and focused on visions and ideas for the future of the station area. The workshop was held on Monday, August 28, 2006 at Santa Clara University. A summary of the report is located under Community Participation.
